BETTY JUNE TEEVAN
Betty June Teevan, age 96 of Grandview, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Friday, November 5, 2021 at Coronation of Our Lady Parish, 13000 Bennington Ave., Grandview, Missouri 64030. A Rosary will be said at 10:45 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Betty will then be laid to rest at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Raytown, Missouri.
Betty was born in Kansas City, Missouri and attended Center School District graduating in 1943 with perfect attendance from kindergarten through 12th grade walking to and from school every day. She worked at Pratt Whitney during WWII making parts for airplanes. She also worked at Blaylock's Drug Store where she met her husband of seventy-two years, Ben. Betty stopped working to raise her three children until 1968 when she went to work for the Grandview School District until retiring in 1991. In life Betty loved gardening, flower arranging, painting, and making crafts with Ben.
Betty leaves behind her husband Bernard Teevan; son, Tim Teevan (Jean) of Belton, Missouri; daughters Teresa Teevan of Denver, Colorado and Tammy Russo (Mike) of Belton, Missouri; four grandchildren, Tonya Bray of Olathe, Kansas, Terra Huffman of Lake Winnebago, Missouri, Brooke Woodard of Belton, Missouri, and Benjamin Teevan of Denver, Colorado; five great grandchildren, Zane Huffman, Isabella Bray, Gage Brown, Lauren Wilczak, and Emily Huffman.
The family wishes to thank the Catholic Community Hospice for the loving and wonderful care they gave to Betty. Special thanks to Cassie, Katie, Shannon, Samantha, Bonnie, Andrea, Denise, Monteka, Greta, and Cathy Maple.
