BETTY J. SHEELEY

Betty J. Sheeley, age 87, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away December 29, 2016 at Foxwood Springs Living Center, Raymore, Missouri. A Graveside service will begin at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.

Betty was born May 24, 1929, in Clarence, Missouri. She was the daughter of Charles and Clella (Cook) Allen. After graduating from high school, Betty married the love of her life, Joseph D. Sheeley on September 2, 1949. Together Betty and Joseph were blessed with four children, Joseph, James, Sara and Erin. Betty lovingly served her family throughout her life as a homemaker.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Clella Allen; her husband of 64 years, Joseph D. Sheeley; and her sister, Beulah Ghere.

She is survived by her children, Joseph D. Sheeley, Jr. (Mary), James Scott Sheeley (Barbara), Sara Anne Powers, and Erin Patricia Maiolo (John); her brother, Robert Allen (Sharon), sister, Barbara Jacobsen (Lloyd); nine grandchildren, Wendi, Talia, Ben, Elisabeth, Andrew, Gianna, Pete, Alexandra and Kate; four great-grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob, Cooper, and Camden.
