BETTY JEAN ROBERTSON
Betty Jean Robertson, age 87, of Belton, Missouri passed away peacefully on May 23, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Cullen Funeral Home, Inc., 612 W. Foxwood Dr., Raymore, Missouri. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Belton Cemetery, Belton, Missouri following the services.
Betty Robertson was the fifth of seven children born to Cloyd and Neva Pfander. She attended Sharpsburg School and graduated from High School there. Her Bachelor of Science degree was from Southwest Missouri State University (Missouri State University) in Springfield, Missouri where she met and married her husband, Joe. Her master's degree was from Avila University in Kansas City, Missouri. She taught grades fourth through eighth for a total of 33 years. Twenty-nine of those years were in Belton, Missouri.
Betty and Joe celebrated their first 50 years of marriage in 2009. To their union three children were born, Mark, Kevin and Carol. They shared seven grandchildren Adam, Maggie, Eric, Hannah, Amber, Gus and Harlan.
Betty and Joe enjoyed traveling, camping and many hobbies in their retirement years. Betty made numerous Linus blankets, cooked for FDA and volunteered at Wilderness Campground for many years. She enjoyed surprising friends and church members with roses.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Cloyd and Neva Pfander; her loving husband of 63 years, Joe Ben Robertson; sister, Lorna Hall; and two brothers, Horace and Melvin Pfander.
She is survived by her sons, Mark Robertson (Becky), Kevin Robertson (Pattie); and daughter, Carol Miederfoff (Raymond); three sisters, Maxine Bates, Berneice Allen, and Eloise Cunningham; and seven grandchildren, Maggie Robertson, Hannah Kaupa (Jack), Adam Robertson, Eric Robertson (Bailey), Amber Miederhoff, Gus Miederhoff, and Harlan Miederhoff.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Luke's Hospice House 3516 Summit St, Kansas City, MO 64111.
