BERNICE L. IKERD

Bernice Lowayne Ikerd, age 71, of Lee's Summit, Missouri, passed away September 29, 2016, surrounded by her loving family, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. A Memorial Service in her honor will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, October 3, 2016, at Cullen Funeral Home in Raymore, Missouri, with visitation from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Contributions may be given to the charity of your choice.

Bernice was born April 1, 1945, in Centre, Alabama. She was the daughter of Floyd and Lois (Busby) Wells. Bernice was united in marriage to Thomas Ikerd on November 25, 1970. Bernice and Thomas were blessed with one daughter, Melissa.
Bernice enjoyed caring for others and she worked in the medical field as a Licensed Practical Nurse for over 30 years. She was also a member of Faith Baptist Church (Goose Lake Township).

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Lois Wells.

She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Thomas Ikerd; her daughter, Melissa Lucas and her husband, Tim; two brothers, Charles and Harold Wells; sister, Sharon Wells; three grandchildren, Ellie, Thomas, and Grace.
