IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Beatrice Juanita
Hamilton
July 4, 1944 – May 19, 2020
BEATRICE JUANITA BROWN GANGEL HAMILTON
Beatrice "Bea" Hamilton, aged 75, of Belton MO passed away peacefully at home on May 19, 2020, after a brief but valiant battle against an aggressive malignant brain tumor. She is survived by her husband, Hal Hamilton, daughters Sherry and Paula Gangel, Christine (Brian) Nichols, Art (Kendall) Gangel, stepson Jason (Michelle) Hamilton, and eight grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Rita (McConaghy) and Harold Brown of Bucyrus, KS, and her sister, Betty Ann Brown Lawson Moser.
She and her twin sister, Betty Ann, were born July 4, 1944 in Providence, RI. She married Paul Gangel (d. August 20, 2019) of Louisburg, KS in 1963. They were married 32 years before divorcing. She married Hal Hamilton of Belton, MO on June 19, 1998.
Many people remember Bea's irresistible smile and contagious laugh. She had many talents, chief among them being her sewing ability. She sewed the majority of her young children's wardrobe when they were growing up, as well as quilts, aprons and curtains for many friends and family members. In her younger years, she was an avid dancer and other dancers would frequently clear the dance floor to watch.
There will be a celebration of life in a few months as soon as it is safe to gather again. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the glioblastoma foundation. Website is glioblastomafoundation.org , or submit a check to:
