BARBARA GRETA RICHARDSON

Barbara Greta (Englund) Richardson passed away on December 12, 2025, after a short illness.  Barbara was born in New York, New York to John Harry and Hanna Englund on July 25, 1931.  She graduated high school in White Plains, NY and went on to work at White Plains Hospital for many years.  Barbara married John Richardson (deceased) on January 14th, 1955 at her parents home.

Barbara was a warm, funny, and loving woman.  She enjoyed attending church, reading, crocheting, and knitting.  She loved to have her family around and welcomed each new member with open arms.

After some of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren said goodbye, her last night was spent with her children listening to Gaither Vocal Band Radio.  It seems God was ready for her, as all her favorite songs came on to welcome her home.

Barbara is survived by son Douglas (Laura) Richardson, Raymore, MO; Christine Foutts, Kansas City, MO; and Beverly (Scott) Marhefka, Caryville, TN; Grandchildren Kevin Richardson, Cathy (Cory) Scarborough, Michael Foutts, Mike (Missy) Hewitt, Tim Hewitt, Tyler (Valerie) Hand, and Patrick Hand; Great-grandchildren Matthew and Trent Scarborough; Elijah and Noah Hewitt; Josiah, Raylan, Teddy, and Silas Hand.

Welcoming her home were her husband, John; parents Harry and Hanna; siblings, Trudy Nordling and Richard Englund - among many family and friends - but mostly her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Services will be in the Spring at the convenience of family.
