BARBARA F. POUND
Barbara F. Pound, age 79, of Peculiar, MO (formally of Belton, MO) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, December 1, 2013, at Cass Regional Medical Center. She was born August 15, 1934 in Memphis, Tennessee to Harry and Virgie Robinson. On December 25, 1951 she married Robert E. Pound. Barbara dedicated her life to raising their four boys while traveling the world as a devoted Air Force military wife to Robert. She was a lifetime member of the Air Force Sergeants Association and enjoyed doing crafts and puzzles. She is survived by a brother, Ralph Robinson (Charlotte) of Bartlett, TN and sister, Martha Wilson of Bartlett, TN, her four sons; Rick (Cheryl) of Belton, MO; Steve (Patty) of Overland Park, KS; Ken (Lana) of Peculiar, MO and Joe (Natalie) of St. Johns, FL. Barbara also leaves behind nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, nieces Stacy Bartley (Jackson, TN) and Samantha Taverna (Memphis, TN). At a later date, private services will be conducted at Ft. Leavenworth Military Cemetery in Kansas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Barbara's name to Patient Assistant Fund at Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville, MO.
