BARBARA J. FITZGERLAD

Barbara J. FitzGerald, age 85, of Grandview, Missouri, joined the Lord on Saturday, March 13, 2021.

A graveside service will be held at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Belton Cemetery in Belton, Missouri.

Barbara was born in Hume, Missouri on June 30, 1935 to Elliott Fletcher and Mary (Rutherford) Fletcher. Soon after graduating high school Barbara was joined in marriage with her late husband, Richard FitzGerald. Together blessed with four children, Geary, Michelle, Kelly, and Steve. Barbara dedicated her life to caring for her children and eventually grandchildren. She, along with Richard founded the New Hope Christian Church in Raymore, Missouri. In life she loved spending her time quilting and being a mother.

Barbara will be reunited with her loving husband of over sixty-seven years, Richard FitzGerald; and parents, Elliot and Mary Fletcher.

Those that will carry on her memories, spirit, and love are sons, Geary FitzGerald (Deborah), and Steven FitzGerald (Taylor); daughters, Michelle FitzGerald and Kelly D. Herman (David); sisters, Beverly Fletcher, Hattie Shaw, Betty Sheehey, and Kate Murray; sister in laws, Sharon Stone and Carol Gleason; brother in laws, Arnold FitzGerald and Wayne FitzGerald; six grandchildren, Joshua Adam FitzGerald (Christina), Nicole Marie Jewell (Brian), Sam Malone, Connor FitzGerald, Cody Herman, and Ashlee Herman; and five great grandchildren, Nolan and Nora FitzGerald, Maggie and Jacob Jewell, and Mark Malone.
