ARMAN KENNETH GOFFOY

Arman Kenneth Goffoy, age 90, passed away on January 29, 2026, in Belton, MO. He was born on July 11, 1935, in Scammon, Kansas, to Arman Goffoy and Albina Boley Mapes. He graduated from West Mineral High School, Mineral, KS, where he enjoyed playing sports and building a lifelong love of athletics.

Arman was a longtime employee of Reno Construction, where he worked as a heavy equipment operator for 40 years. He took pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic and dependability.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sid; grandson, Ryan Applebaugh; and his faithful dachshund, Holly.

He leaves behind his children, Todd (Missy) Goffoy and Kim (Gordy) Muir; his stepsons, Brad (Cindy) Applebaugh and Bob (Melody) Applebaugh; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren, all of whom will cherish his memory.

Arman loved watching and attending sporting events, especially the NAIA and NCAA basketball tournaments and NFL football games. He also enjoyed sitting outdoors and in addition, he greatly enjoyed many winter trips to Hawaii and frequent stays at his favorite hotel, Treasure Island, in Las Vegas, trips that brought him relaxation and joy.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
