ANNA CLARK

Anna Clark, of Belton, Missouri, died Tuesday at Risen Son Christian Village in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Anna, a native of Durneibach, Germany, moved with her American military husband to make a comfortable life for the couple and their three children in the United States, she was 87.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at St. Sabina Catholic Church 700 Trevis Ave., Belton, Missouri with Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.

Anna is preceded in death by her husband, Richard McCoy Clark; her parents, Michael and Franziska Huber of Durneibach, Germany; and her sisters Irma, Maril, and Franzeska.

Anna and Richard married in 1957 while Richard was stationed with the United States Air Force in Erding Air Base, Germany. The couple eventually relocated to the U.S., living in Big Spring, Texas; Belton, Missouri, and Blue Point, New York, before settling back in Belton where they made their home and went to work for the federal government in Kansas City. Anna and Richard traveled extensively in retirement, frequently crossing the United States, visiting Mexico and making repeated trips to Anna's native Germany.

She is survived by son Ray Michael and his wife, Pamela, of Treynor, Iowa; daughter Anna Lisa Wickert and her husband, Gary, of Cedarburg, Wisconsin.; son Chris and his wife, Laurel, of Lee's Summit, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Rebekah Mattes, Jennifer Clark, Christopher Brammeier, Lee Wickert, Matthew Wickert, Aidan Clark and Raegan Clark; and two great-grandchildren, Sutton and Cohen Brammeier.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Sabina Catholic Church.
