ANN M. WALLS

Ann M. Walls, 77, of Belton, Missouri passed away March 3, 2012 at Research Medical Center. She was born November 16, 1934 in New Forest, England the daughter of William Christlo and Ann Jane (Whyte) Christlo. Although Born in England she was raised in Scotland and taught Scottish values and history. Ann was a true Scot. The values and history she learned she passed on to her children. She was a world traveler, having lived in Germany, Japan, and various parts of the United Kingdom. Her favorite place to travel was Canada. She indicated so much of Canada and the people reminded her of Scotland. And was involved in Scouting where she was a volunteer Girl Scout leader. When her husband was leader of a Boy Scout troop, she taught the boys lifesaving to permit them to fulfill the merit badge requirements. Ann was a graduate of Longview Community College with an Associate Degree in business and Mid America Nazarene University where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Management of Human Resources. She retired from Marine Corps. Finance Center in Kansas City, MO as supervisor of Congressional reports Division. Memorial services will be at 6 PM, Friday, March 9, 2012 at The Belton Presbyterian Church, 122 Main Street, Belton, MO 64012. Burial will be at 10 AM Monday, March 12, 2012, in Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS. In lieu of flowers the family suggests Memorials may be made in Ann's name to the Belton Presbyterian Church, 122 Main Street, Belton MO 64012. Mrs. Walls was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister and son Christy Eugene Walls. She is survived by her husband John of 55 years and daughter Valerie.
