ANISE P. KILGEN

Anise P. Kilgen, age 82, of Glen Ridge, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Carnegie Village in Belton, Missouri.

Anise was born in Ashtabula, Ohio on September 3, 1939 to Rodman Pease and Dorothy
(Brooks) Pease. After graduating high school, Anise continued her education receiving a bachelor's degree from Ohio University. After raising her children and managing the office for her husband's construction company, she worked as a Librarian for the Glen Ridge Public Library. Anise was also a member of the Women's Association at Glen Ridge Congregational Church and for many years she was the Co-Chair of the Antique Show for the church. She was an avid reader and member of the Local Women's Book Club and on the July Fourth Parade Committee in Montclair, NJ. Anise was an active member of the community and volunteered countless hours to many charities and organizations.

Anise was preceded in death by her loving husband of forty-eight years, George J. Kilgen, Jr.; and parents, Rodman and Dorothy Pease.

She is survived by her son, George J. Kilgen III (Sue); two daughters, Valerie Kilgen Hawk (Stephen) and Wendy Kilgen DeFilippo (John); four grandchildren, Laura Hawk-Allen (David), Christopher R. DeFilippo, Taylor Kilgen, and George N. Kilgen.
