ALLEN W. PETER

Allen W. Peter, age 56, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away on December 16, 2017, at the Kansas City Hospice House of Kansas City, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., with visitation from 11:00 until service time, Friday, December 22, 2017, at Cullen Funeral Home, Raymore, Missouri. A brief graveside service and burial will take place at the Longview Cemetery, immediately following.

Allen was born on February 27, 1961, in Lepanto, Arkansas. He was the son of Arthur Peter and Johnnie (Wright) Peter.

Allen was an entrepreneur who founded Big Al's Liquor and Wine in Belton, Missouri.

It has been said that Allen couldn't resist a chance to go fishing, and he would change most plans to pursue his favorite pastime! He was also an avid Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast.

Those who knew him said that Allen had a special talent and love of barbequing; perfecting his techniques over the years to become a grill master. He particularly enjoyed sharing his barbeque talents with friends and neighbors.

Allen was one who never met a stranger and he knew how to make those around him feel that they were important to him. His kind presence will be greatly missed.

Allen is survived by his parents, Arthur and Johnnie Peter; his brother, Charles A. Peter; sister, Karen Saghai and her husband, Ardeshir; 3 nephews, Robert Saghai, Justin Peter, and Michael Kennedy; 1 niece, Tonia Saghai; four great-nephews, Logan, Blake, Ian, and Ivan; and 2 step-daughters, Erin and Megan Cory.
