ALICE J. LEDBETTER
Alice J. Ledbetter, age 75, of Peculiar, Missouri, passed away on June 27, 2018 at the Kansas City Hospice House.
The family will receive visitors at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 30th at South Haven Baptist Church, 16800 Bel-Ray Blvd, Belton, MO 64012 . A memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Kansas City Hospice Foundation, 1500 Meadow Lake Parkway Ave., Suite 200, Kansas City, Missouri 64114 or to South Haven Baptist Church.
Alice was born on October 1, 1942 in Covington, Texas. She was the daughter of Raymond Gray and Geneva Gilliam Gray.
On December 21, 1960, Alice was united in marriage with Jack Ledbetter. Together, Alice and Jack were blessed with three daughters - Pam, Patricia and Donna.
Alice lovingly supported her family for many years as a homemaker. She later entered the workforce as a Medical Practice Office Manager and worked in several practices around Texas and Oklahoma for over 20 years. Alice eventually retired from the Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation Center in Oklahoma City, OK.
She was an active member of South Haven Baptist Church of Belton, Missouri. In her spare time, Alice enjoyed traveling around the country with her husband, sewing, reading, and working jigsaw puzzles.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Geneva Gray; daughter, Patricia Ledbetter; two brothers, Wayne Gray and Weldon Gray; and grandson, Shawn Bean.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jack Ledbetter; daughters, Pam Bean (husband, Mike), and Donna Sumner (husband, Patrick); brother, Robert Gray (wife, Sue); sister, Lou Nail (husband, Gerald); two grandchildren, Chris Sumner (wife, Amber) and Jade Bean; as well as many nieces & nephews.
