The lessons she learned during the Great Depression served her well later in life as she developed a strong determination to make the world a better place than before she came into it. Her never ending desire to teach and inspire never ceased, even after she retired from many years of school teaching. Her love of the written word was evidenced in the many writings she authored during her life span. Alice's relentless and regimented drive to accomplish served her well to the end of her life. Her strong belief in God and his teachings was inspirational to all whom she associated. Towards the end of her life, you could see in her eyes the eagerness she expressed to tackle the next great challenge that heaven has to offer.
