ALICE "CAROL" FLOYD

Alice "Carol" Floyd, age 72, of Raymore, MO, passed away January 8, 2018 at Research Medical Center. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, January 11, 2018 at South Haven Baptist Church, 16800 Bel-Ray Blvd., Belton, MO 64012. Funeral services 2:00 PM Friday, January 12, 2018 at the church with burial in Raymore Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.

Carol was born March 1, 1945 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of John Lawrence and Frieda F. (Yearwood) Cope. On March 4, 1961 she married the love of her life, Edward A. Floyd. Together they were blessed with three wonderful children, Andrew, Cynthia and Joseph. Carol worked as a mail clerk for the US Forest Services and in the Administrative room for the Lake City Ammunitions Plant for many years before becoming a "Grandma". She took pride in being a wonderful and loving grandmother. She was a member of the South Haven Baptist Church.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward A. Floyd of 56 years; and her five siblings.

She is survived by her loving children, Andrew A. Floyd, Cynthia A. Ritchie (Garth), and Joseph E. Floyd (Jane); four grandchildren, Jacob Damitz-Ashford (Kendra), Lucas J. Ashford, Lindsay C. Ashford, and Joshua E. Floyd; and three great-grandchildren.
