AGNESS ANN ALLCORN
Agness Ann Allcorn, age 87, of Belton, Missouri passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025, at her home surrounded by loving family.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Cullen Funeral Home, Inc., 612 W. Foxwood Dr., Raymore, Missouri 64083. Visitation will be from 10-11:00 a.m. followed by the services at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian, Missouri.
Agness was born in Dayton, Missouri on August 20, 1938, the daughter of Jesse I Ward and Helen Lucille Hartsell. After graduating from Archie High School, she attended Southwest Baptist University then UCM, CMSC at that time and graduated with her bachelor's degree. Agness moved to California after college and worked for Lockheed. During this time, she and a few friends attended a dance where she met the love of her life, Fred Allcorn. They were married on Sept 16, 1966, and together they were blessed with two children, Marcy and Patricia. Fred and Agness loved to travel before & after the girls came along and eventually moved back to Missouri to be closer to family. Agness worked for the United States Army Battalion for 37 years wearing many hats & was the recipient of many awards during this time. When Fred suddenly passed away in 1985, she became both Mom and Dad to the girls while continuing to be "the heart and soul of the Battalion". She touched many lives over the years and loved to see what her old friends were up to via Facebook. She never posted but loved when her daughters did about her. They would read her the comments & she'd walk down memory lane telling how she knew each person along with stories about them.
She was an avid Kansas Jayhawks and Kansas City Royals fan and loved to watch them any chance she could. Her own Mom was a huge Royals fan & they attended many games together. We aren't sure why she chose the Jayhawks, but she loved KU men's basketball fiercely.
Agness was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Helen Lucille Ward; her husband, Fred Allcorn; and her brother, Jesse Ward, Jr.
She is survived by her two daughters, Marcy Carlson (Marc) and Patricia Allcorn; two grandchildren, Steven Allcorn (Melissa) and Mallory Roschevitz (Kolton); and two great grandchildren, Kaylee and Madeline, as well as nieces, nephews and many cousins.
