AARON "CHRIS" HIRT

Aaron Christopher (Chris) Hirt, 60, Belton, MO passed away at his home on December 19, 2016. Chris was born September 6, 1956 in Independence, MO. Chris worked at Baptist Medical Center after graduating from Ruskin High School in 1975. He also volunteered at the South Metro Fire Station in Raymore, MO. He loved hanging out with the Fire Chief and the boys at the station.

Chris was a loving son and a fighter since the beginning of his life. Born premature at birth he weighed a whopping 2 pounds and 14 ounces. The Doctors did not give him too much of a chance of surviving. Chris also was privileged to carry the torch at and participate in the inaugural Special Olympics in the Kansas City area. Chris never knew a stranger in life. Wherever he went in he would always run into someone that knew him. He will be missed by all of his family and friends.

Chris is survived by his Father and Mother, George and Norma Hirt; One Brother: Marc Hirt, Raymore, Mo; Two Sisters: Veronica (Vicki) Jones and husband Greg Jones, of Raymore, MO; Stacy Brown and husband Mark Brown, of Austin, TX; Chris also had many nieces and nephews: Jeremy Jones and wife Stacie Jones, Tara Orstad and husband Chase Orstad, Alethia Hirt, Georgia Brown, Elizabeth Brown, Gus Brown, great-nieces and great-nephews: Avery Jones, Montana Jones, Mickey Jones, Isabel Schelhammer, Luke Schelhammer, Lauren Schelhammer, Aurora Orstad, North Orstad, Elle Orstad, Scarlett Orstad, Liv Orstad.

A celebration of Chris's life will be held on December 22, 2016 at Saint Sabina Catholic Church in Belton, MO. Rosary will be at 9:45 am and visitation at 10 am with Mass beginning at 11 am. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Raytown, MO.
